A fourth man has been charged by police in connection with three explosions across Staffordshire.

Police said three houses in Blythe Bridge, Cheadle and Weston Coyney "sustained minimal damage" in the explosions in August.

Kevin John Procter, 43, of Edge View Road in Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on Monday and charged with conspiracy to blackmail, the force said.

He will appear at Stoke-on-Trent Magistrates' Court later.

Staffordshire Police said three men, one from Stoke-on-Trent and two from County Down, have been previously charged with conspiracy to blackmail.

They have been remanded in custody to appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 9 November.
