Norton Bridge freight train hit by fire

More than 20 firefighters have tackled a blaze on a freight train in Staffordshire.

It broke out on wagons carrying tracks and other railway equipment at Norton Bridge, near Stafford, at about 20:30 BST on Thursday.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Eccleshall and Stone took about three hours to put it out.

Nobody was injured and the fire service said the blaze was believed to have started accidentally.
