A man arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman's body was found in a flat has been released without charge.

The victim has been named by police as Dominy Huddleston, 37, of Dibden Court, Honeywall, Stoke-on-Trent.

She was found in a property at the block of flats at about 10:30 GMT on Christmas Day and pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination proved inconclusive and further tests would be carried out, Staffordshire Police said.

Det Insp Andy Maxfield said: "Our initial inquiries indicate that the death is unexplained.

"No further action will be taken against the man initially arrested, and we can reassure the community we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death."
