Cyclist dies in A500 crash in Stoke

A man has died following a collision between a lorry and a cyclist on the A500.

Staffordshire Police were called to the northbound carriageway beside the Porthill junction in Stoke-on-Trent at around 05:40 BST.

The cyclist was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital but died not long after arrival, police said.
