Motorcyclist dies in Staffordshire fire engine collision

A motorcyclist has died after being involved in a crash with a fire engine, police have confirmed.

The crash took place on the B5405 near Eccleshall, Staffordshire, at about 12:00 BST.

Emergency services attended but the motorcyclist was confirmed dead at the scene.

It is not thought the fire engine was responding to an emergency at the time of the crash, Staffordshire Police said.

Witnesses are urged to get in touch.
