Burton crash: Man dies after days in hospital

A man who was involved in a road traffic collision last month has died.

Jacob Elliot Brown's Toyota was involved in a collision during the evening of November 11 at Barton Gate in Barton-under-Needwood.

Mr Brown, 21, from Dunstall, Burton-upon-Trent, spent almost a month in hospital before he died during the early hours of December 7.

His family described him as "a loved young man in the community who played at Burton Rugby Club.

"He was also a keen skier and was due to study for his instructor's qualification early next year," a family statement said.

"He will be sadly missed by the family, his daughter Faith, and his friends."
