Pedestrian killed on A14 in Suffolk identified

A pedestrian who died in a crash on the A14 in Suffolk has been identified by police.

James Clarke was struck by a car on a slip road leading to the eastbound carriageway, near the Haughley junction, early on Sunday.

The 25-year-old, from Tostock Road, in Drinkstone, had been crossing the road when he was hit by the Peugeot 206.

He had been one of two passengers in a dark coloured BMW that stopped on the westbound carriageway.

The driver of a blue Peugeot 206 was uninjured but treated for shock. Anyone with information is asked to contact Suffolk Police.
