Man pulled from river 'critical' in Ipswich Hospital

A man is in a critical condition in Ipswich Hospital in Suffolk after being pulled from a river.

Suffolk Police were called to the banks of the River Orwell in Princes Street, Ipswich, at about 1645 BST after reports that a person was in the river.

A man was pulled from the water and he was taken to Ipswich Hospital, where his condition was described as critical.

Anyone with information is asked to call Suffolk Police.
