Cars seized during police checks in Suffolk

Police have seized vehicles during stop checks on more than 200 cars at various locations in Suffolk.

Number plate recognition technology was used to detect cars, which were then pulled over by officers in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds and Lowestoft.

Fourteen drivers had their cars seized for having no insurance or tax or for driving licence offences.

Officers made an arrest on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol and another over document offences.
