Woman sought over bank card theft

Police have released images of a woman they want to speak to over the use of stolen bank cards in Cambridgeshire.

The cards were used to withdraw a total of £395 from a cash machine and over the counter at Alliance and Leicester in Wisbech Market Place.

One of the cards was also used in an attempt to buy £700 of jewellery at Argos in nearby Horsefair.

Police have just released details of the incidents, which happened soon after a handbag was stolen on 20 July.

The bag was taken at the College of West Anglia in Ramnoth Road, Wisbech.

Police said the transaction in Argos happened at about 1700 BST and failed to go through because the bank would not authorise it.

Pc James Howard said: "We believe the woman pictured on these CCTV images may have important information which could assist the police investigation into these incidents.

"If it is you, or you recognise the woman, please call police."
