A man armed with a knife has robbed a store in Suffolk.

The man held up the Spar shop on Woodbridge Road in Ipswich on Tuesday evening.

The man wielded a large knife, threatened staff and demanded cash. He left the shop with about £250, a Suffolk police spokeswoman said.

The robber was between 5ft 10in and 6ft (178cm and 183 cm), with black spiky hair. He wore thin spectacles, a denim shirt and a zip-up hooded top.
