Bookmakers robbed at knifepoint in Felixstowe

A man armed with a knife threatened staff at a bookmakers in Suffolk and stole money and a safe.

He went into Labrokes in Undercliff Road West in Felixstowe at about 1820 BST on Saturday.

He ran towards the counter, jumped over it and demanded staff hand over cash. After stealing the items he ran off towards Coronation Drive.

He is described as of average height, slim and was wearing a green jacket, jeans and a dark woollen hat.

A scarf partially covered his face.

No one was hurt in the incident, police said.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area to contact them.
