Three men have gone on trial charged with attacking a man found with serious injuries in a Suffolk country park.

Liam Rumsey, 21, was attacked at Orwell Country Park in Nacton on 3 May.

Lewis Dowe, Darren Gorham and Matthew Osborn, all 22 and from Ipswich, denied causing grievous bodily harm with intent at Ipswich Crown Court.

The jury was told Mr Rumsey was attacked by the three men as he went for a stroll in the park and has had to have brain surgery.

He will also need further medical treatment, the court was told.

The trial continues and is expected to last a week.
