Suffolk man dies as car hits lorry parked in A14 layby

A man in his 40s died when his car hit a lorry parked in layby on the A14 in Suffolk.

He was driving a green VW Sharan which crashed off the eastbound carriageway at Stowupland at 2315 GMT on Sunday.

Police are yet to name him but said he was from the Hadleigh area. A section of the A14 was closed for about five-and-a-half hours.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Suffolk Police's Serious Collision Investigation Team.
