Suffolk house fire investigation begins

An investigation has begun into the cause of a fire at a house in Suffolk.

The blaze started in the kitchen of a listed family home in Callis Street, Clare on Thursday morning and rapidly spread to the roof of the property.

Four people who escaped the fire have been treated by paramedics for the effects of breathing in smoke.

Six fire crews from Suffolk and Essex have brought the blaze under control and are still monitoring the building which has been extensively damaged.
