Man attacked twice on night out in Ipswich

A man has been attacked twice and then robbed during a night out in Ipswich.

The 23-year-old man was walking along Tuddenham Road, in the town centre, when he was attacked at 0230 BST by two men, who then ran off.

He was helped to his feet by two other men who checked he was OK and walked off towards the cemetery.

Minutes later the original two men came back, attacked him again and stole his wallet and mobile phone. The man was taken to hospital with head injuries.

Police want to trace the two men who helped the victim.

They also want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the two assaults and robbery.
