A 49-year-old carer has denied murdering a pensioner in Suffolk.

The body of 77-year-old Paul Norfolk was found in his house in Castle Lane, Haverhill, on 30 December. A post-mortem examination found he died from head injuries.

Bunthawee Rimmer, also of Castle Lane, entered a not guilty plea at Ipswich Crown Court, where she spoke through a Thai interpreter.

She has been remanded in custody until her trial begins on 2 July.

Police discovered Mr Norfolk's body after concerns were raised by neighbours.

Ms Rimmer was also inside the house and was injured. She was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge for treatment and was arrested on her release.
