A man and woman whose bodies were found in a lay-by in December died of alcohol and drug intoxication, according to a pathologist report.

The bodies of Davina Hamilton, 42, and John Parsons, 46, were found lying next to a car on a farm track off Newbourne Road in Martlesham.

Both were from the Ipswich area.

The report said the cause of deaths was as a result of the combined effects of alcohol and intoxication from the drugs oxycodone and zopiclone.

Suffolk Police said a full report had been submitted to the coroner and an inquest would be opened.
