Men accused of abduction and rape of teenage girl in court

Four men charged with the abduction of a 13-year-old girl allegedly raped in Suffolk have appeared in court.

Three men from east London, aged 28, 31 and 38, and a 46-year-old Ipswich man did not enter pleas at South East Suffolk Magistrates Court.

All four have been charged with abducting a child and two have been accused of rape.

They were remanded in custody and are due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on 26 July.

Abdul Hammed, 46, from Wellington Street in Ipswich, and Surin Uddin, 28, from St Matthews Row in Tower Hamlets, have been charged with two counts of rape involving a girl under the age of 16 and the abduction of a child.

Hamza Ali, 38, from Chingford Road in Waltham Forest, has been charged with sexual assault and child abduction.

Mohamed Sheikh, 31, from Seaton Point in Hackney, has been charged with possession of a controlled drug as well as abduction of a child.
