A man has woken from a coma five weeks after he was seriously injured in a car crash that killed a woman and her grandson on the A14 in Suffolk.

Christine Taylor, 59, and William Taylor, 15, both from Coventry, died when their Fiat Punto was in a crash with two lorries near Trimley St Mary.

The man, who is in his 60s, was a passenger in the car.

A 49-year-old man from Dovercourt in Essex, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He was released on police bail until 16 October.

The passenger is being treated at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge.
