Bury St Edmunds imitation gunman Michael Scully jailed
A man who sparked an armed police response in Bury St Edmunds in August has been jailed for two years.
Michael Scully, 29, of Oakes Road in the Suffolk town was seen driving with a suspected gun on Cumberland Road.
At Ipswich Crown Court, he admitted possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and was sentenced to 18 months.
He will also serve an extra six months for breaching an earlier suspended sentence.
Scully had breached the conditions of a suspended sentence he was given at Southwark Crown Court earlier this year for a charge of transferring criminal property.
He also pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and was given a four-month jail sentence to be served concurrently.
