Ipswich man bailed in bus passenger assault case

A man arrested after a passenger was pushed from a bus has been released on police bail.

The 67-year-old victim suffered a serious head injury after he was pushed by three men from the bus in Defoe Road, Ipswich, on Thursday.

The injured man remains in a a critical condition at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

A 26-year-old man from Ipswich arrested on suspicion of GBH has been released on police bail until February, 2013.

The police investigation into the incident, which happened on the number 10 Ipswich Buses service, is ongoing.
