Ian Starkie jailed for Ipswich knife assault and intimidating witness

A man has been jailed for assault and intimidating a witness after a knife attack in Ipswich last year.

Ian Starkie, 21, of Cranwell Crescent, pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm and the intimidation charge after a man was stabbed at an address in Witney Close off Nacton Road.

The victim was treated in hospital after the attack in the early hours of 6 April.

He has been sentenced to four years in jail at Ipswich Crown Court.

Starkie was given four years for the assault and one year for the intimidation, to run concurrently.
