A jury has retired to consider its verdicts in the trial of a Suffolk GP accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old patient.

Dr Imran Khalid Khan, 40, of Bury St Edmunds, denies seven charges of assaulting the girl at the Forest Group surgery in Brandon and on a home visit.

The prosecution alleged he told the girl she had "a lovely body".

Dr Khan told Ipswich Crown Court he would never examine a young girl without another adult present.

The trial began on 1 July.
