Buttermarket Shopping Centre stabbing: Boy will not face charges

A 17-year-old boy will face no further action by police investigating a stabbing in Ipswich town centre.

Another boy of the same age was treated for a wound after he was found at the Buttermarket Shopping Centre on 1 February.

A further 17-year-old was assaulted in Upper Brook Street and was treated in hospital for a facial injury.

The suspect has had his bail cancelled by police and will not face charges.

The police had said they were treating the attack as an attempted murder and grievous bodily harm inquiry.
