A 21-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to raping a woman in an Ipswich street.

The woman, in her 20s, was walking from Norwich Road to Cromer Road on the evening of 3 March and was grabbed and raped in a passageway between two houses.

The man denied the charge when he appeared earlier at Ipswich Crown Court.

He was remanded in custody and his trial is due to take place in August.
