Martlesham Heath death: Jane Bartholomew was human 'highlighter'
The family of a woman killed in Suffolk say there has been an "outpouring of love" from her former school friends in the US.
The body of Jane Bartholomew was found at her Martlesham Heath home last week.
Scott Ellis, 42, of Tunstall Green, near Woodbridge, has been charged with her murder.
Paying tribute to Ms Bartholomew, her three daughters said such was her love of bright colours they sometimes referred to as a "highlighter".
Her parents Ann and Irvin Bartholomew and brothers Mark and Sean Bartholomew said in a statement: "We are trying to come to terms with the loss of our daughter Jane.
"She was loved by family, friends and children; everyone had a good word for her.
"We have been so humbled by the outpouring of love by school friends in America, her friends, her relations, her neighbours, her work colleagues at Rockford where she had worked for 20 years."
In a separate tribute, her daughter Jordan on behalf of herself and her two sisters, Jade and Jorja, said their mother was "an extraordinary woman" who always tried "to make others smile."
Mr Ellis will appear at Ipswich Crown Court later this year.
