Improvement works for Horley town centre to begin

Major works to give a town centre in Surrey a makeover are to begin next week.

The improvements in Horley include pavement and road resurfacing, a new public space and two new controlled crossing points.

Councillor Allen Kay, of Reigate and Banstead council, said the town would be more attractive, inviting and safer.

During most of the works, roads will remain open to traffic with the exception of part of Victoria Road.
