Surrey Police quiz taxi driver over cannabis in car

A taxi driver has been arrested and bailed on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis after his car was stopped by police in Surrey.

The 60-year-old, from south London, was found with 60 bags of a green herbal substance in his black taxi.

He was stopped by police just before 0200 BST on Tuesday after he drove through a red light in West Byfleet.

Officers noticed a strong smell coming from the taxi and discovered the herbal substance in the boot.
