Waverley public have say on housing plan

A consultation has begun on the number of homes to be built in Waverley over the next 15 years.

The Conservative-led borough council said the consultation would help it make "important decisions" on housing.

The coalition government announced in May it was scrapping housebuilding targets set out in regional plans.

Councillor Adam Taylor-Smith said: "Previously, the voices of people in towns and villages around Waverley were never really heard."
