Sex attack on Dorking charity shop worker

A 27-year-old woman was sexually assaulted as she worked in a charity shop in Surrey, police have revealed.

Surrey Police said the woman was attacked in a store in High Street, Dorking, by a man who had previous asked about job vacancies.

The suspect, who is described as Asian and aged about 20, touched the victim's bottom and then pulled her towards him and kissed her on her face.

Detectives said the victim was left "very distressed and shaken" by attack.

'Unacceptable behaviour'

They have appealed for anyone with information about the incident on 6 September to contact Surrey Police.

Det Con Tracy Maclean said: "We do not believe there is a wider risk to the community as the suspect appeared to have taken a particular likening to the victim.

"However, his behaviour is totally unacceptable and the victim was left very distressed and shaken following his amorous advances.

"Clearly we need to identify and arrest this man and the community can help us by coming forward with his name or any information regarding the incident no matter how small or insignificant it may seem."

The suspect was described as being about 5ft 9in tall with short cropped black hair.

He was wearing a light blue shirt, dark jeans and a fake black leather jacket.
