Woman seriously hurt in multi-vehicle crash in Surrey


An elderly woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision between four cars and a stationary coach in Surrey.

The multi-vehicle accident happened on the A25 Guildford Road at Abinger Hammer, near Dorking.

The woman, believed to be in her 70s, was a passenger in a Renault Megane. The driver - a man of the same age - suffered minor injuries, police said.

No one on the coach, which was waiting at a bus stop, was injured.

Any witnesses to the accident, which happened just before 1330 BST, are asked to contact Surrey Police.
