Staff tied up during raid on Surrey business

Three members of staff were tied up during a raid by masked men on a business in Surrey.

Surrey Police said six men overpowered the employees after breaking into the property in Windmill Road West, Sunbury, in the early hours of Monday.

The thieves searched the building before stealing mobile phones and a set of keys.

Detectives said the staff had experienced a "very frightening" ordeal and appealed for witnesses.

Det Con Anne Simpson said: "This was a concerning incident where a group of suspects threatened several innocent members of staff.

"Fortunately the victims were not injured during the incident but this was clearly a very frightening incident for them and we are determined to track down those responsible."

She added: "We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the Windmill Road area.

"Although the suspects were seen to leave the premises on foot we have not ruled out the possibility that they may have had transport in the area and we urgently need anyone with any information on this to contact us."
