Man, 80, kicked during Frimley burglary

An 80-year-old man was pushed to the floor and kicked in the stomach when three men burgled his Frimley home.

The men, in their late teens and wearing hooded tops, forced their way in when the man answered the door at about 1830 GMT on Friday.

Surrey Police said the men searched the property before leaving with a purse containing cash and bank cards.

Earlier in the evening, at about 1645 GMT, three men forced their way into a house in Woking.

'Cowardly and despicable'

They pushed the elderly resident to the floor, before making off with cash.

Police also said a woman conned her way into the homes of five elderly residents' homes in Woking by pretending she needed hot water for her baby's bottle.

A 24-year-old woman from Farnham was arrested on Monday in connection with the burglaries and released on police bail.

Insp Dave Griffiths said: "Targeting these people is cowardly and despicable and we are doing our utmost to catch those responsible."
