Police raids on three cannabis factories in Surrey

Three large scale commercial cannabis factories have been discovered in Surrey following police raids.

Officers targeted houses in Elmbridge, Waverley and Surrey Heath, working with the recently formed South East Region Serious Crime Investigation Team.

They raided large detached houses in the Stoke d'Abernon area of Cobham, as well as in Godalming and West End.

Three hundred cannabis plants were found in West End, with up to 450 found at each of the other properties.

The raids were carried out at the same time, and involved more than 40 officers and staff from the Surrey Police neighbourhood teams and scenes of crime units, working alongside staff from the Serious Crime Investigations Team and the UK Border Agency.

The houses were all rental properties.
