Ashtead solicitor charged with wife murder

A 33-year-old solicitor from Surrey has been charged with murdering his wife, who died from a stab wound.
Richard Davies Jones, of Woodfield Lane, Lower Ashtead, was due to appear before magistrates in Guildford on Monday.
Police called to Woodfield Lane on Wednesday at about 1400 GMT found 31-year-old Laura Davies Jones with life-threatening injuries.
Mrs Davies Jones, a social worker, died shortly after.
A post-mortem examination found she died from a stab wound to her throat.
