Arrests over attack on man in Frimley


Two men have been arrested over an attack in Surrey that left another man in hospital with head injuries.

Surrey Police said the victim was attacked by two men armed with a piece of wood in Church Road at the junction with Burleigh Road in Frimley.

Officers said he was taken to hospital with head injuries following the attack at 1130 GMT on Tuesday.

The arrested men, from Woking, have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Det Sgt Paul Warriner said: "At this stage police believe it was not a random attack and those involved are known to each other."
