Two men seen on CCTV cameras shortly after a man was smashed over the head with a bottle could have vital information, Surrey police have said.
The 49-year-old victim received serious facial injuries in the attack, which took place in a taxi outside Hampton Court railway station in East Molesey.
He had been in the taxi with three friends who got out in Teddington.
Three other men who asked to share the taxi and got in at Teddington attacked him after a dispute about the fare.
The three men are described as aged between 16 and 20 and slim. Two were white while the other was of mixed race.
Surrey police have released CCTV stills of two men seen in the area who they think could help the investigation.
The victim, who was treated at Kingston Hospital in south London, has since been released.
