Man walking on M23 in Surrey struck by car

A man suffered serious injuries when he was hit by a car on the M23 in Surrey in the early hours.
Police said the collision happened at about 0230 GMT on the southbound carriageway of the motorway, about half a mile from the M25.
The man was reported to be walking in and out of the carriageway when he was struck by a gold Fiat travelling south.
He is being treated at St George's Hospital, in south London, where he is in a critical condition.
