Delayed revamp of Donyngs leisure centre to start

The £3.4m revamp of a leisure centre in Surrey is due to get under way following a six-month delay.
Work at Donyngs Recreation Centre in Redhill was scheduled to start in August but the plans were put back while contracts were finalised.
Reigate and Banstead Borough Council and its partner Nuffield Health said it would provide "first-rate facilities".
The leisure centre will remain open to users when work gets under way later this month.
The plans include new gym equipment, a children's fitness centre, dance studio and physio room.
Councillor Adam De Save, the executive member for leisure, said: "We regret the late start to the project but we are committed to getting the best value from our building contracts."
