Cash stolen in bogus nurse theft in Woking

A thief tricked her way into the home of an elderly couple in Surrey by claiming to be a nurse.
Surrey Police said the woman called at the house in Woking on Wednesday and introduced herself as a nurse to the the 81-year-old woman who lived there.
She said she needed to check on the mobility of the woman's husband and was allowed in.
Officers said the woman helped the 86-year-old man around the living room and then stole a handbag containing £500.
The woman left the house claiming she needed a book from her car, but never returned.
She was described as white, about 21-years-old, with light brown hair, and was wearing blue jeans and a light brown coat, police said.
Officers want to speak to anyone who saw someone matching the description and acting suspiciously around the Maybury area between 1600 and 1700 GMT.
