Tadworth man treated after house catches fire

Paramedics have treated a man for smoke inhalation at the scene of a fire in a house in Surrey.

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service said the fire, in a wall cavity and the roof of the property in in Epsom Lane South, Tadworth, broke out about 0300 GMT.

Two fire appliances were sent to the blaze, along with South East Coast Ambulance paramedics. Emergency services were alerted by a 999 call.

A fire service spokesman said the cause of the blaze was being investigated.
