Basingstoke man held as Guildford vehicles vandalised

A teenager has been arrested after 15 vehicles were vandalised in a car park in Surrey.

Damage estimated at £2,400 was caused to the vehicles in the car park in Guildford Park Road, Guildford shortly before 0100 BST on Saturday.

It included ripped-off wing mirrors, dents to bodywork, scratched windscreens and a smashed sun roof.

An 18-year-old man from the Basingstoke area in Hampshire was arrested at the scene and bailed until 7 May.

Surrey Police are appealing for help to identify a second man who ran away from the scene.

He is described as black, about 5ft 10in tall and wearing jeans and and a white T-shirt.
