Two charged after cannabis raid in Banstead

Two men aged 21 and 22 have been charged with producing cannabis and abstracting electricity following a police raid at a house in Surrey.

More than 200 cannabis plants about 14in (35.5 cm) high were found in the bedroom of the house in Court Road, Banstead, last week.

Bags of fertiliser were found in the kitchen. Hydroponics equipment was also found at the property.

The two men are due before South East Surrey magistrates on Thursday.
