Robbers attack Ash pizza delivery driver

A pizza delivery driver taking an order to an address in Surrey has been hit over the head and robbed.

The 32-year-old victim was hit with a wooden bat in Attfield Close, Ash, on Monday after he was met by a man who said he was not carrying any money.

The driver then noticed another man with a wooden bat and when he tried to run away he was chased by the two men and two of their friends and attacked.

The group demanded money and he handed over cash before they fled.

Police said three of the men had been carrying wooden bats.

Six stitches

The robbery happened at about 2230 BST.

The driver was taken to Frimley Park Hospital where he received six stitches for the cut to his head.

One of the suspects was described as white, aged between 18 and 20, about 5ft 10in tall, and of slight build, with short ginger to blond hair. He was wearing a black hooded top and dark jeans.

A second suspect was described as white, aged between 17 and 20, about 5ft 7in tall and of slim build.

He was wearing a grey hooded top with a white logo on the front and dark jeans and had a white handkerchief covering his face.
