Croydon men held after Guildford mobile phones theft

Two men have been arrested following the theft of mobile phones worth £17,100 from a delivery van outside a shop in Guildford.

Surrey Police said the Croydon men, aged 52 and 39, were held on suspicion of conspiracy to steal in connection with the theft on 4 November.

Two boxes of phones were stolen while the van was being unloaded outside the Vodafone store in the High Street.

The two men have been bailed pending further inquiries.

They are due to report to Guildford police station on 23 and 24 December.
