Surrey man seriously injured in Ash assault

A 24-year-old man is in hospital with serious injuries following an attack in Ash, Surrey.

The man, from Chobham, was approached by up to six men in Shawfield Lane, at about 21:00 BST on Saturday.

Surrey Police said it was believed the attackers were known to the victim. He was taken to Frimley Park Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

A 39-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

They have been bailed until 14 June pending further investigations.
