Man 'made sexual remarks' to boy in Leatherhead

A man who made "inappropriate sexual remarks" to a boy in Leatherhead is being hunted by Surrey Police.

The comments were made to the boy after he approached two men to ask them for the time on Monday, near Leatherhead Skate Park, at 17:45 BST.

One of the men, who is described as white, in his late teens or early 20s, with curly hair and wearing a dark coloured beanie hat, made the comment.

Police said they have made house to house enquiries.

Det Con Kevin Baker said: "Although the boy has not shown any signs that this incident has affected him in any way, we will not tolerate such behaviour from adults against young children and we need to find the man responsible.

"At this stage we do not know the reason why the man made the comments to the boy and he may not have intended to cause the boy alarm.

"I would appeal to anyone who saw a person matching the description of the suspect around the time of the incident to contact us with information."
