Man sought in Horley after robbery

A man believed to be armed with a firearm is being sought in Surrey following a robbery at a shop.

He walked into the Premier Foodwise Store, in Lee Street, Horley, just after 14:00 BST with his face covered and threatened a member of staff.

The robber reached over the till and stole a quantity of cigarettes and cash which he put into a bag before leaving.

Police said he was last seen in Horley Row running towards the A217 carrying an orange plastic bag.

The man was described as white, of slim build, and in his late teens or early 20s.

He was wearing a dark balaclava, a black waterproof coat with the hood pulled up and blue jeans.

No-one was injured during the robbery.
