Arrest after car driven at couple walking in Redhill

A man has been arrested after a car was driven towards a couple narrowly missing them as they walked in Surrey.

The woman in her 30s and a man in his 40s were walking along Hatchlands Road in Redhill at 19:50 BST on Tuesday when the car crossed the road towards them.

The silver Ford Mondeo then mounted the pavement and hit a brick wall before being driven off.

A man in his 50s was arrested by police who said he was known to his alleged victims and it was not a random attack.
